Here's how this exciting new Frederick event was described on the Frederick.com Events Calendar:
Authentic entertainment, merchandise and food from around the globe will take over the Westridge Square parking lot on Saturday, May 10, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. as Celebrate Frederick presents the first annual Pangaea Frederick - A Festival Celebrating our Heritage. The purpose of Pangaea Frederick - A Festival Celebrating our Heritage is to celebrate together the rich diversity of cultures that are represented and thrive in Frederick. This project is an expansion of an Ethnic Festival previously held by the County Human Relations Commission (and others before them) and the NAC 5 West End Community Fiesta. Talks about a cultural festival began more than two years ago and culminated with Celebrate Frederick agreeing to add the event to their roster and the partnership with the City of Frederick which was approved on July 19, 2007.
Although there was some rain in the morning the event was filled with excitement, colorful entertainment and great food. Be sure to see all the video clips below as well as the links to many photos. This is the only way you can see how much fun this event was for those who were lucky enough to be on hand! If you weren't there we will see you next year!
